THERE IS SO MUCH CLUTTER IN MY HOME THAT IT IS EASIER TO JUST CLOSE THAT DOOR AND WALK AWAY
Spring has arrived! But so many of us are still caught up in our winter routines and totally unmotivated to do anything but just get outdoors the minute we see a snippet of sunshine… and for all you “Melbournites” thats not very often!!
So what do we do?!
This blog post was motivated by many of my friends, but as I am currently in my hometown Sunny Sydney and my mum is going through her house doing a crazy spring clean, so I knew this was the right time to speak about this topic.
Last year my mother and I were talking about this very issue and she said to me these exact words...”There is so much clutter in my home that it is easier to just close that door and walk away!”
Does this sound familiar? Do you sympathise with this very comment and feel stuck and overwhelmed by it all!?
WELL…. I call this clutter and mess visual noise. This is the noise that you see in your home that chews up unnecessary energy in your mind causing angst and stress every-time you walk into your home. Let me explain! …you know when your battery dies so quickly on your iPhone and you don’t know why…. but then you discover there are apps open in the background!? Well this is very similar! We stop seeing the clutter and start absorbing the weight of mess surrounding us.. and ultimately wearing us down emotionally and spiritually
